Seventh Grade Family Mass-November 10th, 2019
Our 7th Grade School and Religious Education students did a wonderful job helping us celebrate the 11:30 mass last week. They served in most of the roles that adults serve at mass, the only exception is as Extra-ordinary Ministers of the Eucharist. Hopefully, that day will come for each of them as they journey toward the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation. They also helped Fr Tom teach us about heaven! Who knew cats and dogs don’t like to be dressed up? Is that their Penance here on earth?
Eighth Grade Family Mass- October 20th
What a great celebration we had last week. Our 2nd Year Confirmation Students served as lectors, ushers, greeters, gift bearers and choir. The morning ended with hospitality provided by our 6th grade families. In his homily Fr Tom challenged us by giving a brief lesson on our judiciary system yet reminding us that it is through Jesus Christ that we seek justice. Thank you to all who showed their support, prayed with us and challenges us to continue to be great disciples of Christ.
Sixth Grade Family Mass-September 15th
What a great job our 6th grade Our Lady at St Germaine children did to help us celebrate mass this past Sunday! They served our community proudly by reading the Scripture of the Day, writing and reading the petitions and opening comment, serving as greeters, ushers and gift bearers. They are our future and we depend on them to carry our faith into the future!!
They researched saints that gave them some insight into their Service Project. We believe that prayer is the most powerful gift Jesus gave us to share with each other. Our 6th graders decided that they would invite you to share that gift of prayer with the the victims of Hurricane Dorian. They created a Prayer Chain for all of us to be reminded that we need to continue to pray for them. The Prayer Chain remains in the vestibule of the St Germaine Campus for you to sign and add another link to our prayers. Throughout the month of September please pray for the families, the helpers, the animals and all who are suffering.
