Religious Education Updates

Dear Parents,
I have attached a video link from Cardinal Cupich regarding why he closed our school and mandated that we cancel all masses. Knowing that we do not have class for the next two Sundays I wanted to keep you aware of what is happening. I will let you know whether or not we are cancelling our 1st and Kindergarten Family Mass on 3/29. I have also attached a link that I think could be helpful in helping you talk to your child about this in light of our faith and our God who is always faithful to us, especially in times of crisis.
I have read a few articles today and these two seem most helpful in helping our children and ourselves during this time. One article said to sing Eagle's Wings while washing your hands. Here's my suggestion: tape a copy of the prayers your child is learning over the sink and have them recite at least one of them while washing their hands.
Honestly though you know our child and you know what is best for them. I pray that we all find a way to understand how to remain healthy though this pandemic.
As of this time our two churches will be open for quiet prayer if you wish to stop by and spend some time in quiet prayer. There are also various masses that are televised Sunday and St Julie Parish is have a livestream mass scheduled for 9:30. We are keeping our website up to date on any new information.
Peace to you and those you love during this trying time, Jeanne
